Read MoreIvanka Apostolova Baskar is an anthropologist, art historian, educator, organizer, artist, and translator. She holds PhD in Historical Anthropology of Art with Set/Costume Design from University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. She is an Assistant Professor of Art and Design at the European University in Skopje. She is also the Head of Macedonian Center of International Theater Institute 2013/2020 (Organizing projects/activities like: World Theater Day, International Dance Day, Regional ITI Drama Colony, Collaborations with German, Croatian, Chinese, European, Balkan ITI Centers; Project Passage 23, etc.), and program director and editor of Skopje Kreativa (2016/2017) – Festival for Creative Industries, Macedonia. In 2016, she was commissioner for Macedonian Pavilion (No Man’s Land, Stone Design Architects) at 15. Venice Biennial Architecture, Italy. She was co-editor from Macedonia for Mediantrop - Journal for New Media and Culture, Belgrade, Serbia. She is editor of comic book Personal Futurism/Public Politics, 2013. She is a member of several international academic and professional networks: OISTAT International Amsterdam, ZDUS Ljubljana, ISTME/COST Brussels, RCAC Zagreb. She worked as set/costume designer in Ljubljana, in SNG Drama Lj, MGL, LGL, SMG, Skuc/Glej, Turkish Drama Skopje. Her texts are published in several local and international magazines, including ECOC Skopje 2027, Museum of City of Skopje, MKC Skopje, SCCA Skopje, World of Theater ITI, Identities EUBA, Monitor ISH, Camera Lucida, Trans Europa Express, Zivot umjetnosti, ZK, Kinopis, Teatarski glasnik, Radio Student, Stripburger, ARC Kritika etc, Wog Art, Margina, Mugri, SCCA Lj Platforma, ZAYAK, Studentski zbor.
