Read MoreCheng-Han Wu is a dramaturg, writer, translator, and theater critic. His recent dramaturgy credits include Teahouse (Shanghai Theatre Academy), The Big Meal (Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center), Mulan the Musical (Tainaner Ensemble & Studio M), The Bacchae (National Taiwan University), The Piano Lesson (Yale Repertory Theatre), etc. He has translated many English plays into Mandarin, including Wit, August: Osage County, and I Am My Own Wife, and his English translation of the veteran Taiwanese playwright Wei-Jan Chi’s Playing the Violin has been invited to present a stage reading by Signature Theatre & Lark Play Development Center. His writing has appeared in two main Taiwan-based theater review media, Performing Arts Review Online Platform and PAR Performing Arts Review Magazine. Currently, he teaches at National Taiwan University and Taipei National University of the Arts. He received his MFA in Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism from Yale School of Drama.
