Read MoreYizhou Huang is a scholar, dramaturg, and translator. She holds a B. A. in English from Beijing Foreign Studies University and an M. A. in Drama from Tufts University. She is currently finishing her Ph.D. in Theatre and Performance Studies at Tufts University. Her research focuses on global theatre history, transnationalism, interculturalism, modern and contemporary Chinese theatre, and Asian American theatre. Her writing has appeared in Texas Theatre Journal, Asian Theatre Journal, and the Chinese publication Stage and Screen Review. She is the winner of the 2014 Helsinki Prize of the International Federation for Theatre Research and the 2019 Emerging Critic Award of Stage and Screen Review.
