The Egypt-based Sharm El-Sheikh International Theatre Festival for Youth (SIFTY) is set to launch its sister edition in Kraków (Cracow) in southern Poland.
The new festival, SITFY Poland, is scheduled to take place between 20-23 April.
Kraków is one of the most important historical cities in Poland, known for its vibrant cultural scene.
The first edition of SITFY Poland is dubbed the Monodrama Edition. It will showcase eight plays, chosen from 50 performances that reacted to the call for plays.
Among the plays in the schedule are those from Poland, Republic of Kosovo, Spain, Italy, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.
SIFTY Poland is headed by Mazen El-Gharabawy, founder and president of SIFTY, whose eighth edition took place in November 2023.
The festival is being organized in cooperation with Kite Theatre, a Kraków Independent Theater Expats company.
