Read MoreZerihun Birehanu studied Theatre Arts at Addis Ababa University where he is a lecturer now. He pursued his graduate degree at the University of Warwick, UK and University of Arts in Belgrade, Serbia in International Performance Research. He is a recipient of the 2018/19 African Presidential Fellowship award from the University of Michigan in U.S. His research interests are the relationship between theatre and politics in Ethiopia and African in broad, the link between indigenous performances, theatre art and site specific performances. He has directed experimental theatres, musical and other original and translated plays. He is now actively writing essays for local and international theatre and art related websites and magazines and experimenting on different theatre genres while teaching at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia.
