Read MoreMara Valderrama is pursuing her PhD in Theatre at The Graduate Center at City University of New York (CUNY), and she works as a lecturer in the Communication Department at Baruch College in New York. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature at the Complutense University in Madrid, she completed two Masters degrees in Theatre and Performance Arts and in Comparative Literature. In addition to her current ventures as a scholar, she has wide experience as a performer. Valderrama graduated from the Music Conservatory of Ferraz in Madrid, and has been a Language and Literature teacher in public high schools in Spain and the US.
