Read MoreShiya Lu is a producer, director and stage manager. She founded the Sydney-based artist collective Flying House Assembly, dedicated to promoting Chinese contemporary performance and cross-cultural collaboration in theatre and visual arts. Born in China, Shiya has lived and worked in different countries in Europe and Asia. She has worked with artists from various cultural and disciplinary backgrounds at festivals and cultural organizations including Helsinki Festival, Ibsen International, Exit Festival, Shanghai International Arts Festival, and Edinburgh International Festival. She is a member of the European Festival Association’s Festival Academy. She also writes articles for many Chinese-language publications—including MIND Magazine, Culture & Arts Weekly, and ifeng.com
