Read MoreMehdi Shahedi (b. 1990, Tehran) is a prominent Iranian theatre actor, director, and educator whose work reflects the evolving landscape of contemporary Iranian performance. A member of the Papatiha Theatre Company since 2010, Shahedi has appeared in a diverse array of productions that foreground experimentation and social inquiry, including "Motori" (2022), "Haleh-hin-ha" (2019), "Lolita Version 12" (2019), "The History Boys" (2018), and "The Cloud House" (2016). As a director, his credits include an adaptation of "Hamletmachine" (2019) and "Wvery will Go, You Won’t" (2012), works that exemplify his commitment to formal innovation and critical engagement. In addition to his theatrical work, Shahedi directed the short film Faust in 2023, further expanding his creative reach across media. His ongoing contributions as a theatre educator continue to shape the next generation of Iranian performers and theatre-makers.
