El-Fakharany will be accompanied by many famous actors at Cairo performance of King Lear, including Farouk El-Fishawy and Mohamed Farrag
Egyptian famous actor Yehia El-Fakharany is finalizing preparation for his re-performing of William Shakespeare’s King Lear, scheduled to stage from 10 April at the Marquee Theater in New Cairo.
Directed by Tamer Karam, the TV star will be accompanied by many known actors, including Farouk El-Fishawy, Mohamed Farrag, Heba Magdi, Rania Farid Shawki, Riham Abdel-Ghafour, Ahmed Azmi, Ahmed Fouad Selim, Mohamed Fahim, and many others.
The play was translated by known professor Fatma Mousa with music made by active producer Mostafa El-Halawany.
El-Fakharany is facing a challenge as he had performed the same role, with another crew, in the National Theater for long years gaining a wide appreciation by spectators and critics.
The play is produced by newly established theatre production company, that established four new halls across Cairo, launched its works with Talat Ayam Fil Sahel (Three Days On The Coast) comic play starring Mohamed Henedy early this year.
