Read MoreMarilena Borriello received her MA in Fine Arts at Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma and her MA in Contemporary Art at the University of Rome La Sapienza. She is interested in the overlap of different art forms (theatre, visual art, dance and video) that blurs the boundaries of traditional art media, creating new experiential dimensions. Working as an assistant curator, she has developed an extensive experience in organizing art installations and performance art events in unconventional spaces, such as disused factories, parks and churches. Her field of research is the performativity of space and its capacity of creating interaction with viewers, providing them with a raised awareness of their act of perceiving. As a PhD candidate at the University of Geneva, she is doing research on theatrical site-specific practices.
