Alma Prelec
author
Alma Prelec is a Hispanist and theatre practitioner. Based in London, she holds a BA and Clarendon-funded MSt from the University of Oxford, where she specialized in Golden Age and contemporary Spanish theatre. As of October 2019, she is a member of the research project Staging Difficult Pasts as an AHRC-funded doctoral candidate at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London. Her thesis (working title: Civil War on the Transnational Stage: Spain and Yugoslavia) examines cross-cultural depictions of civil war across artistic media and is co-supervised by Maria Delgado and Duska Radosaljevic. Current cultural engagement includes collaboration with Nico Marzano and the ICA in the curation of the 2020 Film Festival Frames of Representation. She is the co-artistic director of the 2020 Theatre Times IOTF (International Online Theatre Festival).
